Itinerary

Day 1: Tangier - Tetouan - Chefchaouen

Begin your journey with a scenic drive across the Rif Mountains and beyond Tetouan, taking in the beautiful landscapes. After a restful stop at the foot of the Rif Mountains, you’ll arrive in Chefchaouen. This town, once part of ‘Spanish Morocco,’ is filled with Spanish architectural influences. Explore the vibrant Medina, full of unique artisan shops, or relax in one of the many rooftop restaurants and cafés, enjoying cool breezes and fantastic views.

 

Day 2: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fez

After breakfast, head to Volubilis, passing through Wazan and other Rif settlements. Discover the Roman ruins and learn about Morocco’s history. Then, continue to Meknes, where you’ll enjoy lunch, visit the grand Bab El-Mansur gate, and tour the Moulay Ismail Temple. In the late afternoon, depart for Fez, where you’ll spend the night.

 

Day 3: Exploring Fez

Start your day by wandering the winding alleys of Fez, one of Morocco’s oldest cities. Visit the Royal Palace gates, the Jewish Quarter (home to Morocco’s first Mera), and cultural landmarks such as Al-Qaraouine University, the world’s oldest existing educational institution. Explore the Tannery, the Atalin Museum, and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. After lunch, visit local co-ops and enjoy panoramic views of Fez’s Medina.

 

Day 4: Fez - Ifrane - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga

Today, journey through the Atlas Mountains, stopping in the town of Ifrane to see the famous cedar forest, home to the Berber apes. Continue to Midelt, passing through the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass and Ziz Gorge, where you can take photographs and enjoy local mint tea. Arrive in Merzouga and head to your desert camp for an unforgettable night.

 

Day 5: Merzouga - Toudgha Gorge - Dades Gorge

After a morning in Merzouga, head to Ouarzazate, stopping in Berber villages and the Toudgha and Dades Valleys. In the Dades Valley, enjoy a night at a local hotel, soaking in the stunning landscapes.

 

Day 6: Roses Valley - Ouarzazate - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Tiz-In-Tichka - Marrakech

Continue your journey through the Roses Valley and stop at Kalaat Mgouna, the heart of the Valley of the Roses, famous for its annual Rose Festival. Visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and drive through Tiz-In-Tichka pass on your way to Marrakech.

 

Day 7: Marrakech Sightseeing with a Local Guide

Today, embark on a guided tour of Marrakech. Visit the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, Koutoubia Mosque, and explore the city’s souks, palaces, and museums. You’ll also visit the Gueliz area, the Menara Gardens, and the Majorelle Gardens.

 

Day 8: Airport Transfer
