Itinerary

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

Arrive at Tangier’s port/airport where you will be greeted by our team. Begin your journey with a scenic drive to Chefchaouen, making a stop in Tetouan, also known as the “City of Spain,” due to its Spanish colonial influence. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, check in to your accommodation and enjoy some free time to explore its charming blue and white-painted streets, local artisan shops, and panoramic views. Overnight stay at a lovely riad with breakfast included.

 

 

Day 2Chefchaouen – Volubilis Ruins – Meknes – Fez

After breakfast, depart towards Fez, stopping at the Roman ruins of Volubilis for a guided tour (optional). Continue to Meknes, where you’ll explore the majestic gates, including Bab El Mansour and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. After the visit, head to the imperial city of Fez for the night. Enjoy your evening at a charming riad with free time to unwind.

 

Day 3: Fez Sightseeing with a Local Guide

Begin your day with a guided city tour of Fez, the intellectual capital of Morocco. Explore its historic monuments, such as the Medersas (Koranic schools), Chahrij, and Bouinania Attarin. Visit the famous Karaouine Mosque and the first university in the world. Wander through the vibrant souks and take in the views of the old medina. The afternoon is free for relaxation, and you’ll spend the night at a beautiful riad.

 

Day 4: Day 4: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

Travel to the Middle Atlas, stopping at Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Africa” for its European-style architecture. Continue through Azrou, where you can visit a national park famous for its cedar forests and Berber monkeys. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Ziz Valley, known for its fossils. Arrive in Merzouga and transfer to a 4×4 vehicle for a desert journey. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp under the starry sky.

 

Day 5: Merzouga Desert – Nomad Visit – Erg Chebbi Dunes

Wake up to a stunning desert sunrise and enjoy breakfast before heading back to Merzouga. After a shower, visit the settlement of Camria, known for its Gnawa music performed by the descendants of Sudanese slaves. Take a 4×4 ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes and stop for panoramic views. Visit desert nomads and learn about their way of life. Return to the hotel for an afternoon and evening at leisure.

 

Day 6: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, ride a camel back to your hotel for a refreshing shower. Depart for Rissani, famous for its bustling souks, and continue to Todra Gorge, renowned for its towering cliffs. Visit the Dades Gorges and the Valley of Roses before reaching Ouarzazate. Explore the Kasbah in the heart of the palm grove and discover why this area is known as “Morocco’s Hollywood.” Stay overnight at a riad in Ouarzazate.

 

Day 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Talouet – Marrakech

After breakfast, visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a backdrop for many famous films. Continue over the Tichka Pass to reach Marrakech, known as the “Red City.” Arrive in Marrakech and check into your riad for a relaxing evening.

 

Day 8: Marrakech Day Tour

Take a guided tour of Marrakech’s key landmarks, including the Ben Youssef Madrasa, Bahia Palace, Jemaa el-Fna Square, Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the vibrant souks. The afternoon and evening are free to enjoy at leisure, with your stay at a beautiful riad.

 

Day 9: Marrakech – Essaouira

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast to Essaouira, the historic Portuguese port city. Pass through vast argan forests and visit local cooperatives to see the production of argan oil. Upon arrival in Essaouira, explore its charming fortifications, beaches, and seaside activities. Enjoy a range of options like camel rides, surfing, or a stroll along the coastal dunes. Spend the night at a lovely riad.

 

Day 10: Essaouira – El Jadida – Casablanca

After breakfast, travel along Morocco’s coastal route, stopping at El Jadida to visit the Portuguese citadel before continuing to Casablanca. Arrive in Casablanca and check in to your accommodation for the night.

 

Day 11: Casablanca – Airport
