This itinerary provides the perfect balance of cultural exploration, historic landmarks, and natural wonders, offering a deep dive into Morocco’s rich heritage and diverse landscapes.
Upon arrival at Casablanca airport, we’ll begin our tour in Casablanca, the commercial capital of Morocco. First, we’ll visit the Hassan II Mosque, the second largest mosque in the world, beautifully perched above the Atlantic Ocean, showcasing Morocco’s architectural excellence. Next, we’ll head to Place Mohammed V, home to some of the city’s oldest and most significant government buildings.
Then, we’ll continue to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. Here, you’ll explore the iconic Hassan Tower and the 11th-century Kasbah of the Udayas, a fort built in the Andalusian style.
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Meknes, an imperial city of the Alawite dynasty. You’ll see the impressive Bab el-Mansur gateway, the Sahrij Souani Basin, and the beautifully decorated Moulay Ismail Mausoleum.
Following lunch, we continue to Volubilis, Morocco’s most famous Roman ruin, dating back to AD 24-285. The site is remarkably well-preserved, showcasing stunning mosaics and architectural remnants. After a brief stop in Moulay Driss Zerhoun, built on the slopes of the Khyber and Tazga hills, we’ll head to Fez for an overnight stay in a traditional riad.
Fez, one of Morocco’s oldest cities, is famous for its rich history and well-preserved medieval architecture. With a local guide, you’ll explore the UNESCO-listed Medina of Fez, home to the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque (one of the oldest universities in the world), the ornate Bab Bou Jeloud (Blue Gate), and the Chouara Tannery, where leather is still tanned using ancient techniques. You’ll also visit the Medersa Bou Inania, Attarine Madrasa, and the Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts & Crafts.
In the newer part of Fez (Fez Jdid), see the Royal Palace, the Mellah (Jewish Quarter), and shop in the bustling souks for traditional Moroccan crafts such as pottery, textiles, and spices.
Today, we’ll journey from Fez to the Sahara Desert, passing through diverse landscapes. Our first stop will be Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its European-style architecture and scenic parks. As we descend into the Ziz Valley, you’ll be mesmerized by the palm groves and Berber villages, before arriving at Erfoud, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara.”
Continuing to Merzouga, we’ll explore the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes. After a camel ride into the desert to watch the sunset, you’ll arrive at a luxury desert camp. Here, you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars and a night in a comfortable tent, complete with modern amenities.
Wake up early to witness one of the most breathtaking sunrises in the Sahara as the dunes change colors. After a camel ride back to Merzouga, we’ll depart for Dades Valley, passing through Rissani and Erfoud, famous for its fossils. In Tinghir, visit the Todgha Gorges, one of Morocco’s most stunning natural attractions, where cliffs rise to 300 meters.
Next, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, famous for its “monkey toes” rock formations, and reach our riad for an overnight stay. We’ll end the day by watching the sunset along the Tissidrine Road.

From here, we’ll travel via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, stopping to explore the town of Telouet and its ancient 17th-century kasbah. The journey continues with breathtaking views of Berber villages. After reaching Marrakech, enjoy some free time in the Djemâa El-Fna square. Spend the night in a local riad.
On your final day, we’ll explore the vibrant city of Marrakech. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the Majorelle Garden, and the Saadian Tombs, a 16th-century royal necropolis.
