Our journey begins early in the morning from Fez, where we head towards Ifrane, a charming ski resort town often referred to as “The Switzerland of Morocco.” As we pass through the cedar forests of Azrou, you’ll have the opportunity to spot the famous Barbary macaques. Continuing our drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, we’ll make our way to the town of Midelt, known for its fossils and rocky landscapes, for a lunch stop. From here, we travel further into the Sahara Desert, passing through beautiful forests, springs, and Berber villages, arriving in Merzouga in the evening. We’ll enjoy a traditional dinner accompanied by Saharan music before resting for the night in a local kasbah.

Day 2 Sandboarding, Desert Exploration & Nomadic Tribes

Start your day with a thrilling sandboarding experience and explore the magnificent dunes of Erg Chebbi. Afterward, we visit Khamlia Village, known for its vibrant Gnaoua music, and immerse ourselves in the local culture with a visit to the nomadic tribes. These tribes still live traditional lives without electricity or modern irrigation systems. In the afternoon, take a jeep tour through the vast desert to explore the beauty of the Sahara, before returning to the camp for another night under the stars, enjoying traditional Berber music and a delicious dinner.

Day 3: Merzouga - Todgha Gorge - Boumalne Dades

Rise early to witness the mesmerizing desert sunrise. After a camel ride back to Merzouga, we begin our journey to the famous Todgha Gorge. On our way, we’ll stop at the oasis town of Tinghir, where you can explore its traditional kasbahs and palm groves. We continue on to Todgha Gorge, renowned for its towering cliffs and dramatic landscape, perfect for a short hike. Afterward, we enjoy a scenic drive through Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses, taking in the stunning views of the rugged mountains and lush valleys. In the evening, we arrive in Boumalne Dades for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

After breakfast, we travel to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Morocco.” We’ll visit the famous Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios, the largest film studio in Africa. Then, we head to the Fint Oasis for a brief stop before continuing to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco’s most iconic kasbahs. After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, we travel through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters. As we pass through small villages and witness waterfalls and vibrant landscapes, we’ll eventually arrive in Marrakech to conclude our incredible desert adventure.
